About 50 second grade students from Roberto Clemente Elementary Charter School (RCECS) came to Penn State Lehigh Valley on May 12 for a half-day field trip. One of the students enjoyed a walk with the Nittany Lion after she got her photo taken with the mascot.
RCECS students ventured outside to get their photos taken with the Nittany Lion and to play games such as Jenga during their field trip to Penn State Lehigh Valley on May 12.
Downtown Bethlehem Association (DBA) businesses that participated in the second Penn State Lehigh Valley Day donated 5 percent of their sales from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 1, helping to raise more than $3,600 in the fight against pediatric cancer.
Penn State Lehigh Valley Day was held Aug. 1 and raised more than $3,600 for pediatric cancer research. The proceeds were a result of more than 200 alumni, friends and community members who came out to shop and dine at Downtown Bethlehem Association (DBA) participating businesses, which donated a portion of their proceeds throughout the day.
